Job Description

Herschend Family Entertainment, a renowned leader in the themed attractions industry, has been enchanting guests for over 75 years. With a rich heritage rooted in the discovery of wonder deep within an Ozark Mountain cave, the Herschend family transformed that marvel into a mission to bring joy to families worldwide through memorable experiences. Today, Herschend stands as the largest family-held themed attractions company, boasting a portfolio of over 40 unique and immersive attractions that capture the hearts of audiences on a global scale. Each of these brands offers its own distinctive charm, yet all share a common purpose: Bringing Families Closer Together by Creating Memories Worth Repeating®. At the core of this purpose lies Heartspitality®, the blend of heartfelt care and genuine hospitality delivered daily by passionate hosts.

Kennywood, one of Herschend's crown jewels, is a National Historic Landmark with a legacy spanning more than 125 years. This iconic amusement park is celebrated for its blend of more than 40 attractions, including eight thrilling roller coasters, a Kiddieland tailored for younger guests, and a variety of classic rides that have stood the test of time. Beyond the traditional summer season, Kennywood offers popular Halloween and Holiday events that extend the fun year-round, appealing to visitors of all ages and backgrounds.

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Admissions and Parking Attendants at Kennywood. This role within the Guest Experience Department is pivotal in ensuring exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming first impression for every guest who walks through our gates. Admissions and Parking Attendants are tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including managing transactions at ticket booths, assisting with parking logistics, conducting bag checks, and responding promptly to guest inquiries. This position demands a friendly demeanor, attentiveness, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

As an Admissions and Parking Attendant, you will become an integral part of the guest journey, ensuring their entry and parking experiences are seamless and enjoyable. You will guide guests to parking spots, handle point-of-sale transactions for parking and tickets, enforce park policies such as height restrictions and prohibited items, and provide accurate information about park services and promotions. Your role extends to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of parking areas, directing emergency services when necessary, and collaborating with other departments to deliver outstanding service.

Working at Kennywood is not merely a job; it is an opportunity to be part of a community that values respect, inclusivity, and the power of creating joyful memories. We pride ourselves on being an equal opportunity employer that fosters a welcoming environment for all hosts, guests, and partners. Whether you are starting your first job, seeking seasonal work, or looking to stay active, Kennywood offers a supportive and fun atmosphere where you can grow, learn new skills, and make meaningful connections.

This position requires flexibility in working hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and demands physical stamina to stand, walk, and remain active throughout your shift. You will be working primarily on-site, often outdoors, encountering various weather conditions. Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism are essential, as you will frequently interact directly with guests to address their needs and ensure their visit is safe and enjoyable.

If you have a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine interest in contributing to magical experiences at one of the country's most beloved amusement parks, we encourage you to apply for the role of Admissions and Parking Attendant at Kennywood. Join us in creating unforgettable memories and bringing families closer together through an environment filled with fun, thrills, and Heartspitality®.
