Job Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude, hardworking and self-motivated
- Attention to detail and effective communication skills
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying seasonal conditions
- Willingness to follow strict sanitation and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- Confidence around animals and pets
- Knowledge of proper animal restraint techniques
- Knowledge of infectious diseases and control measures
- Ability in reasoning, remembering, mathematics, reading, writing, and speaking English proficiently
- Currently pursuing or attained a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 16 years of age or older
Job Duties
- Provide compassionate care to boarding pets and hospitalized patients
- Check-in animals for boarding, talk with owners, write feeding and medication instructions, play times, walks, additional services, and record all information on boarding forms
- Feed and water animals according to schedules and administer medications and flea and tick control
- Monitor pets for signs of stress, abnormal activity, vomiting, diarrhea, or blood, and report to doctors and technicians
- Clean and disinfect cages, runs, yards, and all pet-related items
- Supervise animals during yard time and perform playtimes or walks as requested
- Manage kennel bedding and hospital laundry using washers and dryers
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and communication with clients and veterinary staff
