The Baker role at Aramark is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about baking and food preparation. As a key member of the Food Services Team, the Baker is responsible for creating delicious baked goods using a variety of recipes, baking techniques, and top-quality equipment. In this role, you will be setting up workstations with all necessary ingredients and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Precision in measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, and operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers is essential. The Baker also plays a crucial role in adhering to food safety policies and sanitation procedures, ensuring that all food is stored properly and prepared with the highest standards to protect customer health and safety.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a baker or in food preparation preferred
  • knowledge of baking methods and food safety regulations
  • ability to obtain food safety certification(s)
  • basic math skills
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for extended periods
  • willingness to comply with uniform and PPE requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
  • proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • required to obtain food safety certification(s)
  • demonstrates basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
  • operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
  • safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
  • properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • ensures security of company assets
