Job Description

The opportunity to join a lovely, mature couple in Clearwater, Tampa, FL, as a full-time executive housekeeper offers an enriching and dynamic work environment. This couple resides in a spacious residence of approximately 4,000 square feet with plans to move in the summer of 2027 to a significantly larger home, estimated between 12,000 and 14,000 square feet. The home setting provides a beautiful blend of traditional and modern living requirements, demanding expert household management skills from a seasoned professional. This is a live-out position, specifically designed for candidates who are already local to the Tampa area, ensuring familiarity with the community and easy commute.

The role primarily focuses on maintaining an impeccable household environment through daily maintenance and detailed deep cleaning. Laundry and ironing are part of the daily rhythm, emphasizing the importance of clothing care alongside home cleanliness. The responsibilities extend to running errands such as grocery shopping, post office visits, and other occasional necessary outings. Light food preparation—including washing, cutting, and preparing fruits, vegetables, and meats—is an essential part of this position, along with preparing simple dinners for the principals on occasion. Organization plays a vital role in this job, requiring the housekeeper to organize cabinets, closets, and storage areas regularly and maintain inventory on household supplies to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Additional duties include managing waste through proper disposal of trash and recycling, using and maintaining kitchen appliances like the dishwasher, and providing support during events such as dinner parties. This may involve coordinating with catering services or additional staff and managing setup and cleanup. The position demands honesty, reliability, and a friendly demeanor, as well as intermediate cooking skills, which enhance the ability to provide well-rounded household support.

The ideal candidate is proactive and detail-oriented, with a strong memory and exceptional communication skills. They must be attentive, good listeners, and highly organized, capable of handling varying responsibilities with confidence and discretion. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial due to the changing nature of daily tasks, and knowledge of household safety and security protocols is expected. A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable personal transportation are mandatory, alongside strong English language skills, both verbal and written. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States and a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.

A dog-friendly attitude is essential, as the principals may introduce a disability support dog in the future, adding a vital element to the household dynamic. For compensation, this position offers an hourly rate ranging from $40 to $55 or more, depending on the candidate's experience, translating to an annual salary of approximately $83,200 to $114,400. This role includes a health stipend, W-2 employment status, guaranteed hours, and applicable overtime pay at time-and-a-half. Additionally, two weeks of paid time off, three to five sick days, and paid holidays or holiday pay are part of the benefits package, ensuring a balanced work-life experience for the selected candidate.
