Job Description
Scoot Education is a dedicated staffing partner specializing in educational support services, committed to fostering exceptional experiences within schools across various communities. As a company, Scoot Education focuses on connecting passionate and qualified individuals to schools that need substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and other student-support roles. They partner with an array of institutions including public, charter, private, independent, and faith-based schools, providing both short-term and long-term staffing solutions to ensure continuity and quality in education. Scoot Education prides itself on understanding the unique needs of both educators and school environments to make the best possible placement matches based on skills, certifications, experiences, and preferences. The company is an equal opportunity employer with strong commitments to diversity and nondiscrimination in employment, ensuring a fair and respectful workplace for all employees regardless of race, religion, gender identity, citizenship status, or any other protected classification. Their mission centers on creating positive outcomes for students, schools, and educators alike while supporting inclusivity and growth within the education system.
In this role as a substitute or support educator with Scoot Education, you will benefit from personalized assistance through your dedicated Education Consultant who facilitates your placement in assignments best suited to your strengths and professional background. You will receive one-on-one check-ins to address school feedback, discuss training opportunities, handle questions, and plan your career path in education. Consultants often bring their own teaching experiences to support you by sharing best practices and practical advice, just a phone call away to provide guidance and resolve concerns. You will be hired as a W-2 employee, alleviating worries about tax withholdings, and earn competitive pay ranging from $150 to $263 per day depending on location, assignment length, certification, and role. Scoot also offers paid training hours, weekly direct deposit paychecks, expense reimbursements related to background checks, and a 401k plan after eligibility. The flexible work schedule accommodates various personal needs, and a referral program rewards you and your friends for successful placements. This position requires in-person attendance, where you will ensure the safety, engagement, and academic support of students in the classroom or other school settings, helping maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. If you bring bilingual skills, especially Mandarin, you will stand out and meet growing demand. This non-exempt position emphasizes the importance of professional development, student-centered approaches, and collaborative communication with school staff.
