Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
knowledge of Salesforce or GXP systems preferred
hospitality degree from higher education institution preferred
excellent communication skills
ability to cultivate a team environment
possess a positive, professional 'can do' attitude
good organizational skills
attentive to details including accuracy, inventory replenishment, and store promotions
ability to execute retail strategy and standards
knowledge of retail standards including core products and visual merchandising
ability to maintain department accounting procedures
knowledge of inventory management
awareness of corporate building policies
ability to handle customer requests courteously and professionally
ability to work safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment handling procedures

Job Duties

Responsible for store presentation and cleanliness-following daily checklists
cleans, maintains and organizes the JW Marketplace, the storage areas, and the stockroom on a daily basis during respective shifts
establishes effective sales techniques consistent with the atmosphere of the JW Marketplace
understands Marriott Standard Operating Procedures with retail operations
receives merchandise as it arrives under direction according to established procedures including noting damages and submitting packing slips
participates in inventories twice a week
provides customers with thorough knowledge of the merchandise
accommodates customer purchasing requests
makes accurate cash drops at the end of shifts
responsible for entering keys of valet parked cars into AVPM system
takes payment for transient guest parking
maintains an organized workstation
monitors inventories and reports needs to Rooms Division Manager
maintains and follows through on all paperwork
maintains effective two-way communication between sales staff and Rooms Division department
maintains and balances cash bank accurately at end of shifts
prepares accurate reports
provides the highest level of individualized, gracious and professional service to customers
