Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience in a full-service restaurant dishwashing environment preferred
- Weekend availability is required
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day
- Physical capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to follow health department and brand sanitation standards
- Commitment to professional appearance and attendance standards
- Willingness to participate in meetings and training sessions
- Compliance with safety practices and handling of hazardous substances
- Ability to maintain calm and professional demeanor during high-pressure situations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in a full-service restaurant dishwashing or stewarding role preferred
- Ability to adhere to health and safety standards
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Customer service orientation and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Capacity to handle physical demands of the job including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Perform daily sanitation and cleaning of all food and beverage areas within AHC properties including JW Marriott, Amway Grand, and Courtyard by Marriott
- Follow and maintain health department standards along with JW Marriott brand and quality assurance standards
- Operate dishwashing machines and wash kitchenware by hand ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
- Assist with transportation of food and equipment to event locations and concierge lounge
- Support culinary, restaurant, and banquet staff as needed by running food, dishes, and equipment
- Maintain kitchen and restaurant cleanliness including deep cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors
- Communicate product needs, shortages, and equipment repairs promptly to supervisors
