Job Requirements

  • Related experience in hospitality or hotel operations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Supervise front desk staff to ensure adherence to hotel policies and guest satisfaction
  • Perform front desk agent and at your service responsibilities
  • Train new hires and support their development as front desk and at your service agents
  • Manage front desk operations efficiently and maintain strong relationships with other departments
  • Ensure smooth guest check-in and check-out processes and properly handle guest accounts
  • Address guest requests promptly and handle guest opportunities at first contact
  • Maintain office supply inventory and coordinate ordering as needed
  • Stock items according to Marriott standards and ensure readiness for guests
  • Adhere to Quality Assurance inspection standards and hotel service audits
  • Lead by example displaying poise and adherence to JW Marriott standards
  • Assist associates with questions and guest opportunities
  • Ensure efficient service at the front desk during peak hours and set a positive example
  • Foster a productive and friendly working environment promoting teamwork
  • Empower associates to deliver outstanding service using empowerment guidelines
  • Identify and solve problems to enhance guest experiences
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area
  • Plan and conduct monthly meetings
  • Conduct Daily Rehearsals to share important information and energize staff
  • Audit desk work for accuracy and coach staff when needed
  • Follow cash handling procedures including blind drops
  • Monitor room status including occupancy and maintenance
  • Recognize and provide special treatment to Marriott Reward, VIP, and repeat guests
  • Review cash status reports and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure no unusual outstanding balances on in-house accounts
  • Complete special projects and meet deadlines
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with associates to support growth
  • Document issues and write reviews for associates as needed
  • Maintain professional appearance and punctuality
  • Stay informed on sales strategies, packages, and promotions
  • Develop thorough knowledge of hotel products and guest preferences
  • Use PMS, MARSHA, MICROS, Saflok, Outlook, HotSOS effectively
  • Work within budget, controlling staffing and costs
  • Lead by displaying JW performance standards
  • Understand local area offerings
  • Report unusual occurrences immediately
  • Follow Marriott and AHC Front Office SOPs
