Jumeirah The Red Sea is seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Sous Chef - Pastry to join their culinary team. This role focuses on supporting the Head Pastry Chef with supervising all sections of the pastry kitchen, maintaining the highest culinary and presentation standards. The Junior Sous Chef - Pastry will play an integral role in ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction through efficient, courteous, and attentive service that surpasses expectations. The successful candidate will implement and monitor cost control measures to minimize waste while preserving quality and presentation. They will also continually evaluate food preparation to maintain consistency, taste, and excellence. Adherence to hygiene, sanitation, safety standards, and compliance with HACCP procedures is crucial to this position. The role also involves monitoring team members’ grooming and professional conduct, providing coaching to foster a high-performing kitchen environment. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment
- Experience in chocolate work, room amenities, wedding cakes, and artistic pastry creation
- Proven experience in supervising Pastry kitchen operations and maintaining high culinary standards
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations
- Certification in Food Safety and HACCP
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment
- Experience in chocolate work, room amenities, wedding cakes, and artistic pastry creation
- GCC experience is preferred
- Proven experience in supervising Pastry kitchen operations and maintaining high culinary standards
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations
- Certification in Food Safety and HACCP
Job Duties

- Assist the Head Pastry Chef to supervise all the section(s) of Pastry kitchen, ensuring all tasks are executed to the highest standards
