A member of Compass Group USA, Restaurant Associates is committed to creating inclusive and dynamic workplaces that foster growth and professional development for its associates.
The Junior Sous Chef role is based at one of Boston’s most distinguished corporate dining locations—the Bain Capital office—offering sweeping 360-degree skyline views and a vibrant, high-end culinary environment. This position is designed for culinary professionals with at least three years of restaurant experience who are eager to transition into a corporate dining setting and expand their leadership capabilities. The Junior Sous Chef will be an essential contributor to daily culinary operations, supporting food preparation, cooking, station management, and service for breakfast, lunch, and conference-related catering events. The role also involves engaging directly with guests at the Chef’s Table, providing a high level of front-facing hospitality that creates memorable dining experiences.
This position offers a salary range of $70,000 to $75,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package, underscoring the company’s dedication to employee well-being. The successful candidate will have opportunities for professional growth within the organization, working alongside an experienced culinary team in a supportive and relationship-driven environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, generally between 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening events that usually conclude between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and no weekend shifts. Conveniently located near a major public transportation hub, this role offers an excellent work-life balance in a fast-paced, innovative corporate dining setting.
In summary, the Junior Sous Chef will uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety, assist with menu development, and contribute to cost control efforts such as inventory management and waste reduction. With a team-first mindset and enthusiasm for guest engagement, this role is an ideal career step for a passionate cook ready to develop their culinary and management skills within a prestigious corporate environment. Restaurant Associates values diversity, equity, and inclusion, making this opportunity accessible to all qualified candidates seeking to join a leading culinary organization dedicated to excellence and employee growth.
