This commitment to excellence is reflected not only in their service but also in the company culture, which prioritizes employee satisfaction and development. Working at Four Seasons means being part of a supportive environment where recognition and respect are fundamental values, encouraging employees to bring their authentic selves to work every day.
Four Seasons Hotel and Residences at The Surf Club provide a unique oceanfront elegance with a rich historical background. The Surf Club itself is an iconic social club setting located on the Miami Beaches, near Sunny Isles, that has hosted legendary figures such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elizabeth Taylor, and Winston Churchill since it first opened its doors on New Year's Eve in 1930. The Four Seasons property at The Surf Club merges this historic charm with modern luxury by offering celebrated dining experiences, including the new Lido Restaurant and The Champagne Bar, alongside a world-class spa. The ambiance invites guests to enjoy a blend of past elegance, present sophistication, and future innovation in a breathtaking beachside environment.
The Junior Sommelier role at Four Seasons Hotel and Residences at The Surf Club is a dynamic position designed for a motivated individual passionate about wine and hospitality. As a Junior Sommelier, you will contribute to crafting exquisite wine lists, ordering and managing a curated selection of wines, and maintaining wine inventory with precision. Your expertise will be vital in advising guests on wine pairings to complement their dining choices, drawing from your knowledge of flavor profiles and culinary harmony. Beyond your sommelier responsibilities, you will assist food and beverage service operations by taking and delivering orders when necessary, ensuring seamless and memorable guest experiences throughout the restaurant.
This position requires exceptional communication skills and a courteous, professional demeanor to interact with guests and colleagues effectively. You are expected to uphold all Four Seasons policies and procedures, aligning with the brand’s standards of luxurious service and hospitality. Responsibilities also include supporting staff training on the beverage program across multiple outlets, managing the wine cellar including inventory control and ordering, and balancing beverage costs to maximize profitability. Occasionally, you may serve as the manager on duty, overseeing shift operations, and completing opening and closing requirements.
Four Seasons welcomes individuals who are adaptable and eager to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of restaurant management or sommelier experience, a positive and proactive attitude, and be comfortable collaborating with a diverse team of food and beverage professionals. Proficiency in English is essential, with additional languages considered a plus. A background in Italian cuisine and wines is highly desirable, along with at least a Sommelier Level 1 certification.
Being part of Four Seasons means more than just a job; it's an opportunity to join a prestigious team recognized globally for outstanding service and a vibrant employee culture. Employees benefit from comprehensive learning and development programs, inclusive engagement events, exclusive discounts and travel privileges, competitive compensation, and various health and wellness benefits. This role offers a rewarding career path within an iconic luxury hotel and residence, surrounded by history and committed to creating unparalleled guest experiences every day.
