The Junior Sommelier role at Four Seasons Hotel and Residences at The Surf Club is ideal for motivated hospitality professionals passionate about wine and exceptional service. Job Requirements
- must have valid work authorization for the u.s.
- minimum 1-3 years previous restaurant management and or sommelier experience
- oral proficiency in english language
- ability to work flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends, and holidays
- minimum certification sommelier level 1 preferred
Job Qualifications
- minimum 1-3 years previous restaurant management and or sommelier experience
- possess a positive attitude and be a self-starter comfortable working alongside a team of food and beverage professionals
- oral proficiency in english language required, other languages a plus
- experience with and knowledge of italian cuisine and wines highly preferred
- minimum certification sommelier level 1 preferred
- ability to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- maintaining accurate beverage program including wine list updates and POS system support
- support training the staff on beverage program across all food and beverage outlets
- ensure maximum guest satisfaction through exceptional service and attention to guests and colleagues
- running the shift as manager on duty when necessary and completing all necessary opening and closing procedures
- manage wine cellar including proper receipt, storage, inventory, and ordering of beverage products
- develop and maintain controls for beverage costs to maximize profitability including food and labor costs
- assist with food and beverage service by taking orders and delivering them as required
