Job Description
New York Life Insurance Company, a Fortune 100 mutual company with over 180 years of legacy, is a leading financial services organization known for its commitment to integrity, stability, and innovation. As a major player in the insurance industry, New York Life offers a diverse portfolio that includes life insurance and employee benefits designed to provide financial security and peace of mind to individuals and families. The company embraces technological advancements, data-driven decisions, and AI-enabled processes while maintaining core values centered on humanity, diversity, and community impact. Employees are encouraged to grow their skills, contribute to meaningful work, and be part of an inclusive culture that fosters collaboration, purpose-driven innovation, and long-standing stability.
The role of New Business Concierge is integral to the success of the Concierge Team within the Life Insurance Solutions business unit at New York Life. This hybrid position, requiring presence in the office three days a week, plays a vital role in ensuring efficient case management and delivering outstanding service to brokers, case managers, and external partners. The New Business Concierge acts as a secondary contact for brokers and Field Directors, providing timely updates, coordinating follow-ups, and gathering all necessary documentation for case submissions. By supporting the onboarding of new firms, this role ensures that new partners are well-versed in New York Life’s business processes and compliance requirements.
Additionally, the New Business Concierge works closely with multiple internal departments such as Underwriting, Sales Support, Licensing & Contracting, and Field Directors to streamline case processing and resolve any issues related to not-in-good-order (NIGO) documentation. This collaborative effort improves workflow accuracy and regulatory compliance while maintaining high service standards. The position also requires active participation in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting requirements, and best practices in case management. The incumbent contributes to documenting operational procedures and identifying opportunities for process improvements, supporting the continuous evolution of business practices.
Compensation for this nonexempt role ranges from $46,500 to $65,000 annually, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus. Candidates should note that the position requires FINRA licensing and/or Associated Person pre-hire fingerprinting, underscoring the compliance-focused nature of the work. This job offers an excellent opportunity to join a respected leader in life insurance while supporting business operations that directly impact financial security for families.
Overall, this position suits a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional with strong communication and organizational skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of relevant experience and a willingness to engage in continuous learning and collaboration to drive process excellence and superior service delivery.
