Job Description
Product Connections is a specialized division within the Acosta Group, a leading full-service marketing agency recognized for its expertise in retail, marketing, and foodservice solutions. The Acosta Group is known for its innovative approach to connecting consumers with brands through strategic retail events, digital marketing, sponsorship activations, and omnichannel shopper marketing. With a workforce comprised of over 10,000 field experts and more than 150 corporate employees, the company excels at delivering effective brand solutions that target consumers precisely and at optimal times, thereby enhancing the consumer journey and driving brand loyalty and sales. Product Connections, as a part of the Acosta Group, focuses on orchestrating product demonstrations and experiential marketing events that engage customers directly in retail environments, creating memorable brand interactions and opportunities for product trial and purchase.
The role of Product Demonstrator at Product Connections is essential in the execution of these marketing strategies. This position is responsible for preparing specialty products such as juices and other food items for customer purchase while ensuring quality, safety, and proper presentation. The demonstrator must be skilled in setting up and maintaining the demonstration area in accordance with food safety standards and corporate guidelines. They are also required to thoroughly review all program materials related to product demonstrations to fully comprehend the scope, instructions, production requirements, and compliance standards. This knowledge ensures that all demonstrations are executed accurately and efficiently, contributing to overall program success. Safety is a priority in this role, particularly when working with hot machinery, sharp utensils, or lifting heavy merchandise, so adherence to prescribed safety protocols and proper lifting techniques is mandatory.
Additionally, the role encompasses responsibility for food handling, preparation, packaging, labeling, merchandising, and disposal, which must all comply with health regulations and corporate policies. Demonstrators are expected to complete all reporting requirements, including online documentation, and keep themselves updated on event schedules, corporate communications, and supervisor requests. Participation in ongoing training and certification programs is a necessary part of professional development within this position. The ability to collaborate effectively with teammates during event setups, cleanup, or kitchen duties reflects the team-oriented culture of Product Connections. Demonstrators contribute not just by presenting products but also by supporting the business's broader goals through quality demonstrations that encourage sampling and product sales. The environment is dynamic, featuring frequent interaction with colleagues, supervisors, and customers in retail settings that may have moderate to high noise levels and varied temperature conditions.
This is an opportunity for individuals with prior experience in product marketing, product demonstrations, or the food and beverage industry who seek to apply their skills in an engaging and supportive agency setting. Product Connections encourages growth, creativity, and excellence, fostering a workplace where ideas are valued and employees can advance their careers. The company is committed to equal employment opportunities and provides reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. The position involves physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, handling equipment weighing up to 600 pounds, and the ability to stand for extended periods. Candidates must have valid state and local food safety certification and be prepared to work varied hours to support business needs.
