The position available at Product Connections focuses on preparing juice and other specialty food products for purchase, including conducting product demonstrations and sampling events. This role requires a keen understanding of food safety, proper preparation techniques, and the ability to engage with customers effectively. Daily responsibilities include setting up demonstration areas, adhering to equipment safety protocols, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and completing all necessary reporting accurately. The job involves working in a retail store environment with exposure to refrigerated conditions and requires standing for extended periods. Candidates are expected to lift heavy objects regularly, handle machinery, and perform tasks safely and efficiently. This role reports no supervisory responsibilities but encourages teamwork through assisting with event setup and supporting kitchen duties as needed. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in product marketing, product demonstrations, or food, beverage, or restaurant industry preferred
  • Applicable state and local food safety certification or license
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. continuously multiple times per day
  • Ability to push wheeled machinery weighing 50-600 lbs.
  • Ability to safely operate machinery and sharp utensils
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work varied hours
  • Ability to climb using a 6-foot step stool when necessary
  • Visual ability to read instructions for safety and compliance
  • Ability to work in cold, refrigerated, and hot environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Bilingual skills preferred based on business necessity

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in product marketing, product demonstrations, or food, beverage, or restaurant industry preferred
  • Ability to safely and effectively prepare juice and specialty products
  • Ability to conduct demonstration and sampling events
  • Applicable state and local food safety certification or license
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to complete required certifications and training
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the role including lifting and standing
  • Basic computer literacy to complete reporting requirements

Job Duties

  • Properly set up and prepare area for specialized food products
  • Fully read materials accompanying product demonstrations to understand program scope and compliance
  • Follow all safety requirements when using equipment including hot machinery and sharp blades
  • Practice proper lifting techniques with boxes or heavy merchandise
  • Adhere to tasks related to safe food handling, preparation, production, packaging, labeling, merchandising, and disposal
  • Accurately complete all required reporting including online submissions
  • Regularly check product event schedule and communications for updates and instructions
  • Complete certifications and attend special training sessions as required
  • Follow safety and compliance guidelines for machine operation, cleaning, and maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work area using proper chemicals and equipment
  • Assist teammates with event setup, cleanup or kitchen duties as needed
  • Conduct food sampling and demonstrations to support business needs
  • Follow general setup and teardown guidelines
