Job Description
Product Connections is a dedicated division of Acosta Group, a leading full-service marketing agency that specializes in digital and traditional retail events and demonstrations, experiential marketing, sponsorship activation, and omnichannel shopper marketing. Acosta Group is widely recognized for its innovative approaches to connecting brands with consumers at critical points in their shopping journeys. With a staff exceeding 10,000 experts in the field and over 150 corporate employees, Acosta Group brings together a wealth of talent and experience, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and professional growth. This environment encourages employees to think creatively, expand their skills, and advance their careers while contributing meaningfully to the organization’s success.
The role being offered at Product Connections centers around the preparation and demonstration of juices and other specialty products for retail purchase. This job involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including setting up and maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering strictly to safety and compliance standards in food preparation and equipment use, as well as conducting product demonstrations to engage and educate consumers effectively. The position requires attention to detail, particularly in following safety protocols when handling machinery and sharp tools, as well as in practicing correct lifting techniques to manage heavy merchandise safely.
Employees in this role must also comply with food safety regulations, including proper packaging, labeling, merchandising, and disposal practices. The ability to complete all necessary reporting, including online submissions, is essential. Regular communication with supervisors and adherence to corporate updates and schedules are vital to ensure smooth operation and program compliance. Training and certification completion are mandatory to maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety and operational procedures.
This position demands physical stamina due to the need to lift heavy objects repeatedly, push equipment ranging from 50 to 600 pounds, stand for long periods, and sometimes climb using a step stool. Beyond physical demands, the role also requires excellent communication skills in English, with bilingual ability considered a plus based on business needs. Working hours may vary, including exposure to refrigerated environments and the handling of cold and hot products and equipment.
Although this role does not involve supervisory responsibilities, it offers a dynamic and engaging work environment within retail stores where interaction with customers, coworkers, and management team members is frequent. The role is also pivotal in supporting special events and demos, facilitating hands-on product sampling, and ensuring that the products meet the high standards expected by both the company and its clients.
In summary, this position at Product Connections within Acosta Group offers a unique career opportunity for individuals passionate about food and beverage marketing, product demonstrations, and experiential retail marketing. It combines elements of customer service, marketing, safety compliance, and manual work, reinforcing Acosta Group’s mission to create lasting brand connections at the point of purchase. The company values diversity and equality and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities, reflecting its inclusive workplace culture. Candidates can expect a supportive atmosphere where their efforts lead to impactful consumer experiences and professional growth within a respected industry leader.
