The company is seeking dependable and diligent Dishwashers to join their dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring that all kitchenware and cooking utensils are impeccably cleaned, sanitized, and organized to maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Dishwashers at Jrk! are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of the dish pit, washing pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and other service items, as well as general kitchen cleaning duties such as floor cleaning and trash removal. In addition to these tasks, candidates may be asked to assist with light food preparation.
The ideal candidate for the Dishwasher position will have a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting while complying with safety standards. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three months related experience or training
- Food handling certificate
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs continuously
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate verbally effectively with guests and co-workers
- Finger/hand dexterity in order to clean food machinery
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry goods weighing a maximum of 75 lbs on a continuous schedule
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable safe product and process application within the kitchen
- Food handling certificate
- Maintains professionalism at all times, demonstrating courtesy and respect to guests and co-workers
Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, to include floors, walls, stoves, ovens, kitchen worktables, queen marys, hot boxes, etc
- Clean and sanitize pots, pans, all dishes, glassware, silverware, using appropriate equipment and chemicals
- Control breakage of equipment, loss and chemical usage per JRK! standards
- Maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
