We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. This position is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious cook or lead line cook aiming to advance their career into kitchen management. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will play an integral role in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring that food quality, consistency, and presentation strictly adhere to our high standards. You will collaborate closely with accomplished chefs and mentors within a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen environment, helping to lead and inspire the team. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to thrive under pressure, and a passion for mentoring others to develop their culinary skills. The Junior Sous Chef will be pivotal in maintaining a productive, positive, and team-oriented kitchen culture, ensuring service is executed efficiently and professionally.

Your responsibilities will extend beyond cooking to include inventory management, assisting with ordering and waste control, and enforcing strict food safety and sanitation regulations. You will also support training efforts, provide leadership during shifts in the absence of senior chefs, and troubleshoot any operational challenges with a solution-focused approach. Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional high-volume kitchen experience
  • lead line cook experience preferred
  • ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask under pressure
  • knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation
  • working knowledge of restaurant management software and POS systems

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of professional high-volume kitchen experience
  • lead line cook experience preferred
  • culinary school training is a plus but not required
  • strong understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures

Job Duties

  • Assist with daily kitchen operations and service execution
