The role of a Journeyman Task Manager within Leidos, specifically in the Intel Sector Analysis Solutions Business Area (ASBA), is an exciting and pivotal position that places an individual at the forefront of critical intelligence and security operations. Situated in McLean, Virginia, this role requires working onsite and involves supporting senior executive-led organizations at the Director level. A Journeyman Task Manager at Leidos manages and coordinates various task assignments received through multiple vehicles and systems, ensuring seamless processing and routing of staff taskers and coordination requests across all administrative management platforms. This role demands extensive interaction and coordination with different elements within the customer’s operational space, the intelligence community (IC), U.S. Government agencies, and private sector entities, ensuring unified mission success.
In addition to managing day-to-day task operations, the Journeyman Task Manager is responsible for preparing training materials and detailed instructions, or playbooks, that guide team members on how to prepare and process staff packages effectively. Another key responsibility includes managing the organization’s daybook requirements for the following business day. This includes preparing daily binders, organizing and formatting materials, coordinating various components, managing electronic daybooks, inboxes, shared drives, reminders for tasking, reviewing and editing materials, front office coordination, and weekly task oversight. The position operates on a shift from Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., requiring a strong commitment to precision, coordination, and efficient communication.
Candidates interested in this role must hold an active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance with polygraph. This requirement underscores the sensitive nature of the work and the vital importance of trustworthiness and confidentiality in this position. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree accompanied by at least five years of relevant experience, although nine or more years of relevant experience can substitute for the degree requirement. The ideal Journeyman Task Manager is a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and coordinating with diverse stakeholders effectively. Experience with senior executive support, tasking management systems, and interagency coordination is crucial. While preparing training materials and processing staff packages is a desired skill, the core competencies lie in administrative task management and cross-organizational collaboration.
Leidos emphasizes innovation and agility in its workforce, encouraging employees to outthink, outbuild, and outpace conventional methods to meet demanding mission requirements. Joining Leidos as a Journeyman Task Manager means becoming part of a dynamic team that is constantly moving forward, pushing boundaries, and contributing to significant intelligence and security missions. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact national security while working for a stable yet forward-thinking company renowned for its leadership in technology and defense solutions. With a competitive salary range of 73,450 to 132,775 dollars, Leidos provides both rewarding work and a robust financial package aligned with experience and expertise. In summary, the Journeyman Task Manager position offers not only a challenging and meaningful career path but also a chance to be part of an innovative leader in the defense and intelligence community.
