This job posting seeks applications for the Journey-level Lineworker role and Compliance Inspector positions within PG&E, based across multiple locations such as Eureka, Geyserville, Lodi, Petaluma, Santa Rosa, and Willits. These roles are essential to the company's Electric Transmission and Distribution (T&D) department, which is responsible for planning, engineering, maintenance, construction, asset management, restoration, and emergency response. Journey-level Lineworkers and Compliance Inspectors play a critical role in maintaining and restoring high-voltage electrical facilities and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

As a Journey-level Lineworker, you will be entrusted with building, maintaining, and repairing electric power systems. This includes working on poles, stringing electric lines, installing transformers, performing substation switching, and troubleshooting electrical faults. The role requires physical endurance to work outdoors in all weather conditions, the ability to climb poles and operate aerial and hydraulic equipment safely, and flexibility to respond to emergency call-outs and changing locations. Candidates must have successfully completed a state or federal sanctioned apprenticeship and the ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. PG&E supports career development through training programs and union representation by IBEW Local 1245. The starting wage rate for this position is $73.78 per hour, subject to collective bargaining agreements and varying by location and experience.

Compliance Inspectors perform safety inspections to identify hazards on electric poles and equipment following General Order 165. They conduct detailed site inspections using diagnostic tools, communicate with internal teams and customers, and carry out minor repairs in the field. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the physical ability to access varied terrains and structures. Both roles emphasize safety, adherence to regulations, and teamwork.
