Job Description
Herschend Enterprises is the world's largest family-owned themed attractions company, established with a rich heritage that spans seven generations. With a deep-rooted commitment to hospitality, Herschend is dedicated to Bringing Families Closer Together by Creating Memories Worth Repeating®, operating over two dozen wholesome family entertainment brands and engaging more than 15 million guests annually. With a passionate team of over 12,000 employees, known as hosts, Herschend prides itself on its unique culture called Heartspitality®, which blends empathy, dedication, and leading with love to create impactful and joyful experiences for guests and communities alike.
Dolly Parton's SongTeller Hotel is the latest addition to Herschend's portfolio and represents a vibrant celebration of music, style, and hospitality all done the Dolly-way. Located in the heart of Downtown Nashville, the SongTeller Hotel offers 245 rooms, two food and beverage entertainment venues, a market, and even Dolly Parton's Museum. Inspired by Dolly Parton's incredible career and trailblazing spirit, SongTeller Hotel aims to give guests a place where they can truly Love Every Moment. The hotel atmosphere invites visitors to unplug, connect with loved ones, and be entertained in an environment sprinkled with glamour, artistic surprises, and a touch of humor. The experience is thoughtfully designed to reflect the iconic entertainer herself and to celebrate the local Nashville music and culinary scenes.
The Barback position at Jolene's Lounge, an 85-seat bar located on the top floor of the hotel, plays a crucial role in creating these exceptional dining experiences. This role requires an enthusiastic and hospitable individual passionate about supporting the bar team to maintain a seamless service operation. The Barback will assist in opening efforts and ongoing daily operations for Dolly Parton's SongTeller Hotel. This key role involves setting up the bar before service, ensuring the bar is properly stocked throughout the shift, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The position is integral to both the success and profitability of the hotel’s innovative offerings. The ideal candidate will be a curious learner, an innovator, an able administrator, a mentor to peers, and a motivator, all while adhering to Herschend's Heartspitality® culture.
Working at SongTeller Hotel offers more than just a job—it allows one to be part of a community that celebrates creativity, hospitality, and Dolly Parton’s enduring legacy. Working as a Barback in this setting demands genuine passion, attention to detail, and an enthusiastic spirit to contribute to a thriving team environment fostered by respect, inclusion, and equal opportunity. Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and committed to upholding the highest standards of service that enhance the overall guest experience.
