Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of travel support experience
  • ability to multitask and communicate effectively
  • travel agent certificate preferred but not required
  • department of the navy top-secret/SCI clearance required

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • knowledge of defense travel systems
  • familiarity with joint travel regulations
  • ability to interpret federal travel regulations
  • excellent organizational skills
  • experience with MS Office suite
  • experience supporting government travel operations
  • superior customer service skills
  • travel agent certificate preferred
  • GSA smartpay travel training preferred
  • eFACT training for foreign travel preferred
  • GSA travel agent services training preferred

Job Duties

  • perform the duties as an agency program coordinator for the government travel charge card system
  • provide daily defense travel system support for all customer travel requirements
  • interpret the joint travel regulations and apply those guidelines to travel inquiries and voucher processing
  • act as subject matter expert about DTS and JTR issues
  • support travel authorization and voucher processing and troubleshoot billing discrepancies
  • provide periodic status updates and support data reporting on travel activity
  • create traveler profiles using the customer travel system
  • work with travel management company to secure travel arrangements
  • obtain, store, and provide archived travel itineraries
  • advise employees on special travel conditions
  • stay informed about international travel advisories
  • act as a primary contact with embassies and government agencies for visa and passport requirements
  • reconcile corporate travel credit card
  • coordinate with courier services for document delivery
  • maintain strict confidentiality and data security
  • maintain meticulous records for passports and visas
  • perform other duties as assigned
