Leidos is a recognized leader in the technology and defense sectors, providing innovative solutions and services to government and commercial customers worldwide. With its headquarters in Reston, Virginia, Leidos employs approximately 47,000 individuals globally and reported nearly $16.7 billion in annual revenues for the fiscal year ending January 3, 2025. The company focuses on delivering smarter, more efficient digital and mission-critical innovations, playing a vital role in national security, health, and engineering sectors. Known for its commitment to innovation and excellence, Leidos fosters a workplace culture that emphasizes disruption, resilience, and forward-thinking strategies to stay ahead of challenges and support its customers' missions effectively.

Within this dynamic organization, the Leidos Dig Mod (Digital Modernization) team is currently seeking a Travel Coordinator Specialist. This pivotal role is designed to support critical missions for the Department of the Navy (DoN) customer by managing comprehensive travel needs for the department and its employees. The position demands expertise in government travel systems and regulations, specifically in the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Defense Travel System (DTS). As a Travel Coordinator Specialist, you will be responsible for orchestrating all aspects of official travel, including but not limited to airline ticket booking, lodging reservation, transportation arrangement, travel document processing, and assistance with passport and visa applications or renewals.

The role requires an individual who excels in fast-paced environments and demonstrates superior organizational and communication skills. The Specialist is expected to serve as the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Agency Program Coordinator (APC), facilitating applications and account management related to travel charge cards. Daily responsibilities include providing comprehensive DTS support, interpreting and applying JTR and Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) to travel inquiries and voucher processing, maintaining traveler profiles, and coordinating with travel management companies to secure travel arrangements in compliance with government regulations. Additionally, the role involves continuous monitoring of international travel advisories, acting as a liaison with embassies and government agencies for visa and passport management, and maintaining meticulous records to ensure travel documentation compliance.

The Travel Coordinator Specialist plays a critical role in supporting high-volume government travel operations, troubleshooting billing discrepancies, and providing periodic reporting to support program needs and ensure seamless travel logistics. This position is best suited for individuals who are detail-oriented, possess advanced knowledge of DTS and travel regulations, and have a strong commitment to customer service in challenging and often rapidly changing circumstances.

Leidos offers a competitive salary range for this position, from $82,550 to $149,225, reflecting the company's commitment to attracting top talent to support its vital missions. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package including health and wellness programs, income protection, paid leave, and retirement options, recognizing that employee well-being is fundamental to mission success. Working at Leidos means joining a community that values innovation, integrity, and collaboration while enabling you to contribute meaningfully to projects that impact national and global security.

This full-time role is ideal for professionals who want to advance their careers in government travel management within a leading technology and defense contractor environment. Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a Department of the Navy Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
