With over 420 locations worldwide, Crowne Plaza hotels serve as ideal destinations for travelers seeking a blend of business and leisure accommodations. The brand focuses on creating inviting and thoughtfully designed spaces that foster connection and meaningful experiences. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and professional service, Crowne Plaza is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), a leading hotel company with a global presence. Employees of Crowne Plaza benefit from working in a culture that values diversity, inclusivity, and growth opportunities, making it a preferred employer within the hospitality industry.
The Part-Time Banquet Event Server role at Crowne Plaza offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in an environment that values flexibility, teamwork, and professional development. Starting at $17 per hour, this position provides part-time employment with flexible scheduling options, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate various availability needs. As a Banquet Event Server, you will play a key role in executing high-quality banquet services by setting up event spaces, serving food and beverages according to established hotel standards, and ensuring guests have a memorable experience. This role requires adherence to strict safety and service protocols, participation in required training programs such as IHG's standards and ServSafe Alcohol Safety certification, and the ability to monitor guest behavior responsibly.
In addition to your routine duties, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of workspaces including back halls, carts, storage areas, and event spaces. Communicating effectively with guests and team members using Crowne Plaza’s branded service approach, 'Dare to Connect,' will enable you to build meaningful connections that enhance guest satisfaction. This approach emphasizes professionalism combined with authentic personal interaction, contributing to a positive and emotionally engaging atmosphere. As part of your duties, you will also be vigilant in monitoring alcohol consumption among guests, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and notifying management promptly of any concerns. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to navigate busy, sometimes fast-paced settings with ease, requiring the lifting and moving of equipment and inventory routinely.
Crowne Plaza supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package available to both full-time and part-time staff, demonstrating a commitment to employee well-being and satisfaction. Benefits include holiday bonuses, sick leave, travel benefits at IHG hotels and resorts worldwide, discounts on dining at the hotel’s Kindred Table restaurant, friends and family rates, and a retirement plan with company matching. The company culture encourages ongoing learning and teamwork, making it an excellent choice for individuals looking for a rewarding position in the hospitality space where they can grow and thrive. With its reputation for excellence and a warm, inclusive workplace environment, Crowne Plaza invites enthusiastic and dependable individuals to apply and become part of its dedicated team devoted to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
