Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five years of prior facilities management, engineering, or building maintenance experience preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
- Relevant certifications preferred such as EPA Universal or OSHA safety training
- Ability to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays
- Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings
- Compliance with Crowne Plaza Lansing rules and regulations
- Ability to handle physical demands including standing, mobility, and lifting up to 70 pounds
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to work on-call and handle emergencies
- Ability to follow job-related duties as requested by supervisors

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five years of facilities management, engineering, or building maintenance experience preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting

- Strong understanding of building systems, mechanical and electrical equipment, and safety protocols
- Ability to effectively manage staff, supervise contractors, and motivate teams
- Ability to identify and resolve facility-related issues efficiently

- Ability to develop and manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage construction and maintenance projects
- Familiarity with building codes, fire safety regulations, OSHA safety standards, and relevant standards
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and scheduling tools
- Availability for on-call emergencies and willingness to work weekends or holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Coordinate and manage capital projects and other building related tasks, including preparation and negotiation of contracts, requests for proposals, and reports
- Perform and oversee the maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, and other mechanical systems
- Perform and oversee that PM's and work orders are done timely and to ensure proper completion and quality
- Monitor and control expenses with a focus on energy management, preventive maintenance, and capital planning
- Assist with preparation of annual maintenance budget
- Order supplies and tools as necessary
- prepare documents for equipment procurement
- prepare specifications and contracts for contract services
- Coordinate and certify all required annual inspections are completed for code compliance
- Respond quickly to emergencies (fire, power outages, etc.) and after-hours emergencies as needed
- Ensure proper records are kept relating to all plant and equipment for the hotel including repair and service records
- Take responsibility for the cleanliness and safety aspects of all plant and mechanical equipment rooms
- Ensure the hotel complies with all relevant safety regulations, building codes, and fire safety protocols
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors for various services, including pest control, pool maintenance, and elevators
- Communicate effectively with various departments, including housekeeping, front desk, and other relevant teams
- Attend and participate in meetings
