Job Description

Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC) stands as Portland's premier destination for sports, socializing, and community engagement. More than just a club, MAC is a vibrant and expansive facility that encompasses a wide variety of recreational and social amenities spread across an impressive 600,000 square feet. With four restaurants, three pools, a climbing gym, state-of-the-art studios and fitness suites, numerous racquet sport courts, massage services, a boutique, and a grand ballroom with multiple event spaces, MAC is essentially a small city dedicated to enriching the lives of its members and guests. Established as a cornerstone in Portland, the club prides itself on its commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment where every employee has ample opportunity to grow and thrive.

The Lead Counter Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages promptly and courteously to members and guests, facilitating smooth daily operations, and ensuring effective communication across departments. This position demands a positive attitude, dependability, and the ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards while delivering an enjoyable experience to all patrons.

As a Lead Counter Attendant at MAC, you will play an integral role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring quality service, and upholding the club’s reputation for excellence. Your daily tasks will range from making espresso drinks and smoothies to serving deli items and hot foods, managing transactions with accuracy, maintaining inventory, and adhering closely to health and safety regulations. Equally important is your ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively, making each customer’s visit a memorable one. Multnomah Athletic Club values individuals who demonstrate reliability through regular attendance and professionalism, alongside possessing the physical stamina to perform the job's demands, including standing for long periods and operating various kitchen and service equipment.

MAC is more than just a workplace; it provides a unique work-life balance enriched by excellent benefits designed to support your health, well-being, and financial security. This is a wonderful opportunity for those seeking a rewarding career in the hospitality and fitness industry, with a chance to be part of a remarkable community and a respected organization dedicated to making a difference locally. If you have a passion for exceptional customer service, are detail-oriented, and want to join a team that values respect and collaboration, the Multnomah Athletic Club’s Lead Counter Attendant position at Joe's Restaurant might be the perfect fit.
