Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 years
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States
- Availability to work a minimum of two days per week including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, or holidays as business needs require
- Ability to perform various physical tasks during the work shift
- Compliance with Peet's Employment of Minors policies
- Ability to work with and among minors
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or a fast-paced retail environment is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Passion for coffee and desire to learn about coffee products
- Basic math skills for handling cash and electronic transactions
- Willingness to learn and adapt to Peet's standards and procedures
Job Duties
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences by consistently following Peet's service steps with quality engagement and friendly service
- Prepare handcrafted beverages and products to Peet's high standards in taste, appearance, and consistency
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace by collaborating with coworkers, seeking feedback and taking initiative to support operations
- Drive sales through suggestive selling, product education, and sampling, helping customers discover and enjoy Peet's offerings
- Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks throughout the shift
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee bar while demonstrating urgency and composure in a fast-paced setting
