The position of Activity Coordinator, Memory Care, located at Ivy Park at Santa Rosa, offers a permanent, full-time role from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with an hourly wage range of $22.00 to $23.00. This role plays a vital part in enhancing the quality of life and independence of residents in the Traditions Memory Care community. The Activity Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the organization, scheduling, promotion, facilitation, and direction of various activities and excursions tailored to the needs and interests of residents in memory care. This includes creating and fostering a creative, engaging, and rewarding social atmosphere within the secured Traditions area through diverse activities such as special events, guest speakers, exercise sessions, educational classes, games, art opportunities, and outings. The role requires effective communication skills, the ability to maintain a safe and secure environment, and the capacity to operate community vehicles while encouraging teamwork across departments. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors
  • Requires current Class C, prefer Class B driver license to transport residents
  • Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines

Job Duties

  • Assist the Memory Care Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the secured Traditions area
  • Promote resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, the establishment of clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes and other such activities
  • Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
  • Able to drive community vehicles
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
