The role of Team Leader at Schlotzsky's is a critical position responsible for supporting the management team in overseeing all aspects of shift operations. This leadership role focuses on ensuring operational success, high-quality guest service, and the achievement of financial goals. The Team Leader is tasked with maintaining all restaurant areas to the brand's standards, including the exterior, parking areas, lobby, dining room, restrooms, kitchen, bakery, and back dock, to create an inviting and safe environment for both staff and guests.

In this capacity, the Team Leader must guarantee that recipe and food preparation standards are consistently followed at each station within the restaurant, uphold cash handling procedures with precision, and ensure that safety and security protocols are rigorously maintained. This position requires a proactive approach to food safety, including monitoring food temperatures, proper coding and dating of products, and strict adherence to sanitation standards.

Leadership responsibilities include addressing guest concerns and escalating complex issues to management, maintaining respectful and positive work relationships, providing guidance and feedback in a supportive manner, and communicating employee performance and policy violations effectively to management. The Team Leader must strictly adhere to company cash handling policies, including protecting cash, making deposits, auditing safes, and documenting cash variances, all while safeguarding confidential security information.

Additionally, the Team Leader should maintain composure and positivity under challenging circumstances, commit to punctual attendance, uphold uniform and personal grooming standards, and consistently follow the directives of the managers. This role demands a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate and lead a team toward achieving operational excellence and superior customer service.

This position is located at a Schlotzsky's corporate site and requires the individual to be at least 18 years old, reflecting both the responsibility of the role and the necessity of operating specific kitchen equipment safely.
