The Janitorial/Cleaning & Maintenance Attendant role at Buc-ee's San Marcos location is pivotal in ensuring the store maintains its high standards of cleanliness and maintenance. As a Janitorial/Cleaning & Maintenance Attendant, the successful candidate will be responsible for manually cleaning and utilizing light commercial motorized cleaning equipment to maintain store hygiene according to the established cleaning matrix. Additionally, the role involves performing light maintenance on store equipment, observing safety and security procedures closely, and promptly reporting any unsafe conditions to the General Manager. The ability to perform these essential functions safely and efficiently, with or without reasonable accommodation, is a key part of this position.

The job demands physical endurance, including the ability to stand and walk for long periods (up to 10 hours) on hard and uneven surfaces, perform repetitive motions, and lift weights up to 50 pounds. The role also requires the use of ladders and working in elevated areas, as well as handling cleaning chemicals safely. Given the varied and sometimes outdoor nature of the work environment at Buc-ee’s, candidates must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and be flexible with work schedules that include mornings, evenings, overnights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
