Job Description
ABM (NYSE: ABM) is a leading global provider of facility services and solutions, committed to delivering cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments across various industries. Founded in 1909, ABM has grown to serve over 20,000 clients worldwide, with annual revenues nearing $8 billion and employing more than 100,000 team members in over 350 offices across the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations. ABM's comprehensive range of services includes janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical systems, landscape and turf management, and mission-critical solutions. The company serves a diverse client base ranging from commercial office buildings to universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, entertainment venues, and more.
This particular position is for a Janitorial Supervisor who will oversee the operation and supervision of janitorial staff at an assigned location. The Janitorial Supervisor will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for client liaisons, and ensuring that quality service standards are consistently met. This leadership role demands a positive customer service orientation, ability to lead and support janitorial teams, and readiness to provide emergency and off-hour support whenever necessary. The supervisor will promote a strong safety culture by training staff on personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, safe movement practices, and building and property security protocols.
In addition to managing the janitorial team, the Janitorial Supervisor will develop and assign work schedules to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. They will also respond promptly to client-reported emergency cleaning situations and ensure the appropriate use and storage of cleaning supplies and chemicals, complying with safety data sheet (SDS) and OSHA regulations. Training staff on standard and non-standard cleaning methods, safe operation of cleaning equipment, and maintaining high levels of accuracy and detail is also a key component of this role.
The position requires continuous monitoring of employee timekeeping to verify adherence to assigned work schedules and company policies. The supervisor will seek opportunities to increase revenue by identifying additional billable project work for new and existing clients. When staff absences occur, the Janitorial Supervisor will arrange for substitutions or personally perform necessary work to maintain service schedules. This role requires at least two years of supervisory experience, preferably in the commercial cleaning industry, with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
The hourly pay rate for this position is approximately $23.37, with actual offers varying based on experience, skills, location, and market data. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports the health, wellness, and financial security of its employees. Applications for this position are accepted until July 15, 2026. ABM is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity, inclusion, and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities. The company also participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility. ABM supports military veterans by offering world-class training programs and career development opportunities for those transitioning from military service.
