ABM is currently seeking a Janitorial Supervisor for the Dodger's Stadium location in Los Angeles, CA. This role is pivotal in overseeing daily janitorial team operations and projects to ensure that performance goals and client expectations are consistently met. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $29, with compensation adjusted based on experience, skills, geographic location, and market alignment. The Supervisor acts as the primary liaison between ABM and the client, fostering strong, service-oriented relationships to uphold quality and promptly resolve any service issues.

In this role, the Janitorial Supervisor provides leadership and support to janitorial and porter staff, including training on safety protocols, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), standard and client-specific cleaning methods, and equipment operation. The Supervisor is also responsible for planning and assigning work schedules to guarantee seamless service delivery, managing emergency response to cleaning situations, and ensuring compliance with building security and OSHA safety standards. This position requires monitoring employee timekeeping and identifying opportunities to enhance revenue through additional billable projects. The role demands a resourceful and positive team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, capable of providing effective presentations to groups of varying sizes. Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience supervising employees
  • experience with commercial cleaning industry is a big plus
  • experience effectively managing teams with solid staff retention, counseling and developing team members
  • proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • detail-oriented with high level of accuracy
  • strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills including ability to give presentations

Job Duties

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships with a positive customer service orientation
  • serve as main point-of-contact for client liaisons, meeting regularly to confirm quality standards are met and service issues are promptly resolved
  • provide leadership and support while being available for emergency and off-hour support
  • promote strong safety culture and work environment
  • train staff to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safe movement practices
  • plan and assign work schedules to ensure service delivery expectations are achieved
  • ensure timely responses to client-reported emergency cleaning situations
  • train staff on building and property security protocols at each assigned client location
  • train staff on ABM standard cleaning methods and any non-standard cleaning protocols contracted for specific clients
  • train staff to ensure cleaning supplies/chemicals are appropriately utilized and properly stored, maintain SDS sheet and OSHA requirements
  • train staff on safe operation of all cleaning equipment
  • train and manage site janitorial and porter staff
  • continuously monitor employee timekeeping entries
  • look for opportunities to increase revenue by providing additional billable project work
  • arrange for staff substitutions or personally perform work where absences impact completion of work
