This role is for a Porter position within KBS’ Janitorial Services Team. It is a non-exempt, hourly position starting at $12 per hour, ideal for individuals looking to jump-start their career in a fast-paced environment that offers consistent growth and leadership opportunities. The Porter plays a vital role in ensuring that client facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality. The job requires direct interaction with customers daily, requiring excellent customer service skills and the ability to prioritize tasks according to the customer’s needs. Responsibilities involve working in high traffic and high volume environments where maintaining a professional and efficient presence is key. The Porter must have a broad knowledge of cleaning and janitorial processes and possess a proactive approach to problem-solving and leadership when needed. This role demands a high level of physical activity including standing and walking for up to 10-12 hours per shift and the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 49 pounds. Additionally, the Porter is responsible for supporting the use of mobile technology by using the KBSPresence app for accurate timekeeping and communication, with the company providing reimbursement for cell phone use in accordance with local laws.
