As a Day Porter at ABM, you will be an essential member of the facility maintenance team responsible for ensuring that the workplace environment remains clean, safe, and orderly throughout the day. This role demands high reliability and attention to detail as you perform various routine cleaning duties across assigned facilities. Your efforts contribute significantly to maintaining the overall appearance and sanitation standards of the environment, which in turn provides a positive, welcoming experience for employees, clients, and visitors alike. The Day Porter shift is Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, offering an hourly pay rate of $18.00. In this role, you will be performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces regularly to maintain a clean environment. You will also be responsible for sanitizing restrooms, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are consistently met. Waste management is another critical aspect of your responsibilities, involving emptying trash and recycling bins according to company policies. Additionally, you will clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces and properly maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies. You will act as a critical reporter for any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor, ensuring swift resolutions that keep the facility operational and safe. Supporting special events by assisting with setup and cleanup may also be part of your daily duties. Compliance with all safety procedures and company protocols is mandatory, ensuring the safety of yourself and others.
