The Janitorial Cleaner role at ABM is an entry-level position ideal for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce with limited experience or education. This position is critical in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities. The cleaner will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces. Responsibilities also include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, replenishing supplies, emptying trash and recycling bins, and cleaning windows and mirrors to uphold hygiene standards. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and storing cleaning equipment properly, reporting maintenance or safety issues, assisting with setup and cleanup for meetings or events, and adhering strictly to safety procedures and company protocols.   • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus
  • ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Job Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces
  • clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met
  • empty trash and recycling bins and waste in accordance with company policies
  • clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
  • maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly
  • report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor
  • assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed
  • follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation
