The role of Assistant Supervisor at Action Cleaning Services is a vital position designed for motivated individuals who thrive in a hands-on leadership environment. This part-time role operates on a Thursday through Sunday schedule, predominantly during evening hours from 4 PM to 12 AM, with pay ranging between $23.00 and $24.00 per hour. The Assistant Supervisor will support the daily operational management of janitorial teams across multiple sites. Responsibilities include overseeing quality control inspections to ensure high cleaning standards, training new and existing employees on proper procedures and safety protocols, and managing inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment both at client sites and company headquarters.
This position requires the ability to step into cleaning duties when necessary, demonstrating leadership by example. The Assistant Supervisor is also responsible for coordinating operational activities such as delivering cleaning supplies, communicating client feedback, and assisting with maintenance and service concerns. Strong communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with both staff and clients, while organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and tracking inventory.

Job Requirements

- ability to pass a criminal background check
- ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds
- be 21 years of age or older
- hold a driver's license for 3 consecutive years
- have a good driving record

Job Duties
- assist with quality control inspections to ensure cleaning standards and contractual requirements are consistently met
- support training of janitorial staff on scopes of work, cleaning procedures, safety practices, and company expectations
- monitor and track cleaning supply inventory at client sites and headquarters
- report supply and equipment needs to field and operations supervisors
- maintain accurate inventory records and internal tracking worksheets
- step in to perform higher-level or coverage cleaning during staff absences or shortages
- deliver cleaning supplies, consumables, and equipment to client locations
- communicate maintenance issues, service concerns, or client feedback to the operations team
- assist with lockouts and respond to general inquiries from janitorial staff
- perform additional duties as assigned
- clean and restock restrooms
- sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors
- spot-clean carpets
- dust and clean furniture, baseboards, walls, fixtures, and equipment
- clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- collect and dispose of trash and recycling
- clear debris from indoor and outdoor areas
- safely operate cleaning equipment and machinery
- mix and use cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines
- move furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed
- follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE
