They are currently offering a part-time role for a Janitorial Cleaner. The compensation for this position ranges from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. This role is a non-exempt position, which means it does not qualify for overtime pay. The initial probationary period for employment is 90 days, during which time the employee's performance and fit with the company’s standards will be evaluated.

The Janitorial Cleaner is responsible for carrying out routine cleaning duties that are essential to the upkeep of client facilities. Tasks include cleaning restrooms, floors, surfaces, restocking supplies, and maintaining overall cleanliness and safety. The role demands reliability and a strong attention to detail to ensure that all work meets both company and client expectations. Safety procedures must be strictly followed to avoid hazards and maintain a safe working environment.

This position is designed to be part-time with flexible shifts based on the location’s availability. The workweek is counted from Saturday to Friday, covering all seven days, but employees are limited to no more than five consecutive workdays in any given week. Shifts vary by location and can be either 5 or 6 hours long, typically starting early in the morning between 4 am and 6 am, with some overnight shifts required once a week. Additionally, there are day porter positions available that require 4-hour shifts.

The daily responsibilities encompass a variety of cleaning activities such as washing and buffing tile and carpet floors, cleaning and stocking restrooms, disinfecting trash bins, vacuuming, and stain removal on carpets. The cleaner is also tasked with detailed cleaning of equipment and storage areas, trash collection throughout the store, and ensuring that cleaning supplies and chemicals are managed and stored properly.

Applicants must be able to work overnight and weekend shifts, including holidays which are considered blackout dates and mandatory to work. Physical ability is necessary to lift and maneuver objects up to 50 pounds and operate machinery weighing up to 200 pounds. The role requires good mobility including bending, kneeling, and reaching.

Strict dress code enforcement is in place to ensure safety and professionalism. Slip-resistant closed shoes and a uniform t-shirt are mandatory, and the use of audio headphones during working hours is prohibited. Employees must use an electronic mobile system to clock in and out and be familiar with mobile payroll and timekeeping applications to track their hours accurately.
