Koniag Operations Services is currently seeking a Janitor to support both KOS and the government customer located at the Denver Federal Center in Lakewood, CO. This is a unionized position offering a competitive wage of $20.25 per hour, with a full range of benefits administered through the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Employment opportunities include full-time as well as part-time night shifts, providing flexibility for scheduling preferences. The chosen candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance, emphasizing the importance of security and reliability in this role. The janitorial team is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment throughout the office building and its surrounding exterior areas. This role involves a variety of custodial duties such as cleaning entrances, lobbies, corridors, offices, conference rooms, and restrooms. Additionally, the janitor will handle the maintenance of exterior grounds, including parking lots, loading docks, and sidewalks, ensuring an overall appealing appearance and safety for all personnel and visitors.

The janitor's daily responsibilities include emptying wastebaskets and trash receptacles, dusting surfaces at various heights, vacuuming carpets, spot cleaning, washing windows and glass surfaces, and using appropriate cleaning products to polish and sanitize various areas. In addition to routine tasks, the role requires the capability to perform heavier cleaning assignments, such as floor cleaning, shampooing rugs, and washing walls. Teamwork and communication play vital roles in this position, as the janitor will work alongside a motivated and cooperative cleaning staff while following detailed cleaning instructions and developing problem-solving skills related to custodial work.
