Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- experience with janitorial equipment and tools
- able to speak, write, and understand English
- CPR certification within 90 days
- position requires background check
- able to lift up to 40lbs
- able to twist, bend, squat, reach, push, pull, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods
- able to maintain confidentiality
- no supervisory responsibility
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- experience with janitorial equipment and tools
- experience working in a social service setting preferred
- CPR certification required within 90 days
- able to speak, write, and understand English effectively
- good manual dexterity
- good hearing, vision, and speaking ability
Job Duties
- Complete daily cleaning duties as assigned
- maintain equipment and office areas in a neat and orderly fashion
- conform to universal precautions when handling or cleaning potentially contaminated or hazardous materials
- receive, inventory, distribute, and store deliveries to the Center
- properly store chemicals and equipment to minimize loss and prevent risk to residents
- assist other janitorial and housekeeping staff as needed
- keep the security and safety of the Center occupants and The Salvation Army property as a priority
