Job Description

The Emerald Queen Casino, operated by the Puyallup Tribe, is a premier gaming and entertainment establishment located in Washington State. As a prominent player in the casino and hospitality industry, Emerald Queen provides a vibrant work environment that values diversity, cultural heritage, and community involvement. With a commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction, the casino offers a range of gaming, dining, and entertainment options to visitors and patrons, ensuring a dynamic and engaging atmosphere. Known for its robust employment opportunities and comprehensive employee benefits, Emerald Queen Casino emphasizes safety, professionalism, and teamwork among its staff. The casino operates under stringent regulations set forth by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission, ensuring a secure and compliant workplace for all employees. As part of its workforce, Emerald Queen aims to attract dedicated professionals who are passionate about contributing to the casino's success through quality service and operational integrity.

The Deep Cleaning Worker role at Emerald Queen Casino is a vital position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the casino interior. This full-time role primarily focuses on performing detailed and thorough cleaning tasks that support a healthy and inviting environment for guests and staff alike. The position involves cleaning carpets, buffing floors, and attending to ceiling tiles, vents, and various accessories, mostly during early morning shifts starting at 3am or 4am. This schedule ensures the gaming floor and public areas are pristine and ready for daily operations while allowing employees to have their afternoons free.

Beyond routine surface cleaning, Deep Cleaning Workers assist kitchen staff by disassembling, sanitizing, and reassembling kitchen, deli, and bar appliances and hoods, which plays an essential role in maintaining sanitary food service areas. This collaborative aspect of the job requires attention to detail and an understanding of kitchen sanitation standards. The role may also include additional duties as assigned by department management, emphasizing flexibility and a team-oriented mindset.

Starting at a competitive wage of $19.70 per hour, with an increase to $20.29 per hour following a successful 90-day orientation period, the position offers financial incentives aligned with performance. Employees benefit from excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, reflecting the casino’s commitment to supporting its workforce’s well-being. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to work with specialized cleaning tools and solutions, alongside sensitivity to working in environments that may contain smoke. Due to regulatory requirements, all applicants must acquire a Class III B license from the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission, ensuring compliance and security within the casino environment.

This position represents an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a stable, full-time role in a respected gaming and hospitality venue, particularly those who are early risers and value having afternoons off. Emerald Queen Casino prides itself on being an Equal Opportunity Employer, applying Indian Preference in hiring in accordance with tribal policies, and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace for all employees. The Deep Cleaning Worker position invites individuals who are hardworking, reliable, and meticulous, with a commitment to upholding the cleanliness standards that enhance the guest experience at one of the Pacific Northwest's premier casinos.
