The Janitor role at Karman is designed for energetic and self-motivated individuals who take pride in maintaining clean and orderly spaces. This position requires a detail-oriented mindset and the flexibility to manage non-routine cleaning assignments and special projects as needed. The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing various areas including offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining areas, as well as other public spaces within the building. This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities, allowing the individual to focus on the hands-on aspects of maintaining the facility.

Primary duties involve general cleaning of the entire building, upkeep of exterior areas including the parking lot, and the removal of garbage and recycling materials daily. The janitor must be prepared to respond to emergency cleaning requests promptly and handle floor maintenance activities such as sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing. This role also includes tasks such as cleaning windows and glass partitions, maintaining stock levels in janitorial closets, and preparing bins for weekly waste pick-up. Physical demands require standing or walking for extended periods, and other activities that include lifting, bending, and repetitive movement.
