Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures
- ability to work independently
- strong attention to detail
- ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- ability to use cleaning equipment
- ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
- ability to move heavy products with equipment
- ability to adhere to safety policies
- basic math skills
- physical ability to perform duties
- good vision including color and peripheral
- able to work in loud noise environment
- able to adapt to voice picking system
Job Qualifications
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and written or verbal instructions
- demonstrated attention to detail and consistency in completing repetitive tasks
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- knowledge of general cleaning practices
- familiarity with industrial/warehouse cleaning preferred
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- ability to write legibly
- ability to successfully communicate with the voice picking system
- ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of warehouse areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, docks, and common areas
- sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors
- clean spills promptly to maintain a safe work environment
- remove trash, recyclables, and waste materials
- empty and clean waste containers
- clean and sanitize restrooms including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors
- restock supplies as needed
- clean walls, windows, doors, railings, and other facility surfaces
- operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, wet/dry vacuums, and pressure washers
- safely handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with Hazard Communication and Safety policies
- adhere to the Distribution Center Housekeeping and Safety Policies at all times
- follow all safety rules including use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervision promptly
- support special cleaning projects as assigned including deep cleaning, audits, or inspections
