Job Description

This job opening is for a Janitor position at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald’s logos and food products. While the franchise operates under the McDonald’s brand, it functions as a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. Therefore, all employment matters including hiring, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are handled solely by the franchisee. Job Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
Obtain and maintain a valid food handler certificate in the state of Texas
Exhibit a humble and hospitable demeanor
Willingness to learn and grow
Good organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to perform routine maintenance and use safety equipment properly
Must successfully complete a background check
Employment eligibility contingent on satisfactory criminal, employment, education, and/or credit background checks where permitted by law

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Possess a valid food handler certificate applicable in Texas
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties

Ensure a memorable visit by maintaining cleanliness of customer and employee areas using cleaning equipment and chemicals while presenting a clean uniform
Provide necessary supplies by unloading deliveries and safely replenishing stock using safety equipment like gloves and back braces
Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment and building systems ensuring all areas from roof to parking lot are clean and operational
Lead the experience by meeting and exceeding food safety and storage standards following established policies
Work collaboratively with the team to meet goals and maintain a respectful and inclusive workplace culture
Arrive on time and fully complete all assigned tasks
Perform other duties as assigned by management
