The Housekeeping position at Ace Hardware plays a critical role in maintaining the operational cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and distribution centers. Responsibilities include cleaning bag good aisles, emptying cardboard, making bales, sweeping and vacuuming trash, picking up broken pallets and debris, maintaining stairwells, and handling snow and ice during inclement weather to ensure safe access around the facility. The position requires vigilant safety practices to safeguard not only the individual performing the duties but also the entire team and facility. Safety is considered the company's number one priority, and this role contributes directly to that mission by practicing and promoting the use of personal protective equipment, safe operation of equipment, and proper lifting techniques.

Job Requirements
- Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role
- Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shift and hours

Job Duties
- Clean bag good aisles
- Empty cardboard in the warehouse
- Make bales
- Sweep and vacuum trash in assigned aisles
- Pick up broken pallets, cardboard, and trash
- Maintain and clean stairwells
- During inclement weather, maintain sidewalks by shoveling snow, putting out ice melt, etc.
- Empty trash cans
- Maintain a safe work environment at all times
