Ace Hardware currently has an opening for a 1st Shift Janitor position based at one of its distribution centers. This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and smooth operation of the facility. The Janitor will be responsible for routine housekeeping duties such as driving through the facility to collect and compact trash, managing cardboard jams in conveyors, cleaning spills immediately to prevent hazards, and assisting with electrical truck maintenance activities like battery charging and changing. The position requires a hands-on approach to equipment care, including performing safety and mechanical checks on machinery, refilling water tanks, inspecting and replacing worn cleaning brushes and squeegees, and operating scrubbers to keep floors clean and presentable.
