Job Description
Chili's is a renowned casual dining restaurant chain that originated in Dallas, Texas, in 1975. Over the decades, Chili's has become a beloved destination for guests craving Big Mouth burgers, house smoked ribs, sizzling fajitas, and expertly crafted hand shaken margaritas. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional hospitality, Chili's has firmly established its place in the casual dining industry by consistently delivering memorable dining experiences. The company's culture is deeply rooted in service excellence, hospitality, and community involvement, aiming to offer the best possible experience to every guest, every day.
At Chili's, the emphasis is firmly on creating a fun and engaging environment for both guests and team members. The management team plays a critical role in maintaining this atmosphere. As a Chili's Manager, you will be at the heart of the restaurant's operation, guiding your team to exceed guest expectations while meeting business goals. This role is more than just overseeing daily operations; it is about fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and passion for hospitality. Managers are entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities from ensuring a smooth, high-energy shift to maintaining quality and financial controls.
The position offers a salary range of $64,000 to $70,000 yearly, providing a competitive compensation package for experienced hospitality professionals who are eager to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. This role requires a balance of operational expertise and interpersonal skill, as successful managers are those who can connect authentically with team members and guests alike.
Key aspects of this leadership role include acting as a role model and holding team members accountable to operational and quality standards while openly communicating and championing change initiatives. Managers at Chili's are expected to lead with both heart and mind, fostering open communication between staff and management and addressing root causes of issues with humility, vulnerability, and transparency. Additionally, the role entails strategic business oversight, including utilizing Chili's systems to control costs effectively and executing operational systems like quality line checks and manager timelines.
One of the most fulfilling parts of being a Chili's Manager is the opportunity to hire, train, and develop team members for career growth, nurturing a workforce that is motivated and prepared to take on larger roles within the organization. Alongside guiding internal teams, managers also build guest engagement within the restaurant and cultivate relationships within the local community, reinforcing Chili's position as a welcoming and integral neighborhood spot.
Ensuring food safety and upholding Chili's cultural beliefs are also fundamental to this role. These beliefs include every guest counts, food perfection, accountability, and playing restaurant—principles that guide the daily decisions and leadership style of Chili's managers. Overall, this manager role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are passionate about people, food, and service excellence. It encourages a driven but fun leadership style dedicated to achieving top business results and fostering an inclusive team spirit.
