Job Requirements

  • minimum age of 16 years
  • ability to stand and walk approximately 90-95 percent of shift
  • ability to lift and carry 15-25 lbs
  • good listening skills to take accurate guest orders
  • ability to operate cash register and POS system
  • follows Jack in the Box food safety and cleanliness standards
  • adheres to uniform and grooming policies
  • dependable and reliable with a positive attitude
  • flexible to work in fast-paced, high energy environment
  • willingness to work varied shifts as scheduled

Job Qualifications

  • guest service or food cook/preparation experience helpful
  • comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced restaurant environment
  • must be at least 16 years old
  • understands and communicates clearly in English
  • ability to read and understand written English
  • perform basic math including addition, subtraction, and multiplication
  • ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • works effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • deliver exceptional guest service by providing excellent food and maintaining a clean restaurant environment
  • respond to guest concerns promptly using the listen, apologize, and make it right approach
  • take and clarify guest orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems
  • assemble and prepare food items according to Jack in the Box standards ensuring taste, appearance, and temperature are met
  • maintain cleanliness of front and back of restaurant including dining area, restrooms, kitchen equipment, and exterior premises
  • operate kitchen equipment such as fryers and beverage dispensers safely and properly
  • follow food safety policies including hand washing, glove use, and proper food storage
  • collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and assist coworkers as needed
  • adhere to uniform, grooming, and appearance standards
  • ensure order accuracy by repeating orders and providing appropriate condiments, napkins, and utensils
