The current opportunity focuses on the Mixologist role, a key position essential to delivering top-tier beverage service that enhances the guest experience. The Mixologist will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages with a focus on quality, presentation, and guest engagement. This role requires expert knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer, including the ability to create specialty cocktails and contribute to menu development that aligns with the luxury branding of the forthcoming hotel. The Mixologist will be the face of the bar, expected to deliver AAA Four Diamond service standards with professionalism and attention to detail.
In addition to the core beverage duties, the Mixologist will maintain bar operations, including cleanliness, inventory management, and transaction handling. Working collaboratively with servers, barbacks, and management, the Mixologist ensures seamless service during regular shifts as well as special events, private functions, and promotions. This position demands flexibility, a customer-oriented mindset, and a commitment to upholding health and safety standards. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, possess at least one year of relevant experience, and be eligible to obtain and maintain necessary certifications and gaming licenses. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Minimum one year of experience as a mixologist or in a related role
- Flexible availability to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various audiences
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, computation of rate, ratio, percentage, and ability to interpret bar graphs
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues professionally
- Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully
- Ability to earn and maintain gaming license
- Ability to earn and maintain TiPS certification
- Ability to earn and maintain food handlers certification
- Ability to earn and maintain RBS certification within 30 days of employment
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of experience as a mixologist or related role
- Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation and mixology techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
- Ability to manage inventory and perform transaction handling accurately
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional guest service
- Capability to work flexible shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Eligibility to earn and maintain required certifications including gaming license, TiPS, food handlers, and RBS certification
- Physical ability to maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards

Job Duties
- Greeting guests promptly with a warm, professional demeanor
- Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, to the highest quality and presentation standards
- Engage with guests to provide recommendations tailored to their preferences
- Anticipate guest needs, providing a personalized and memorable experience
- Uphold AAA four diamond service standards, ensuring all interactions are courteous, polished, and attentive
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain an immaculate and organized bar area, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels, restocking as necessary, and communicate shortages to management
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer, including preparation techniques and pairings
- Create specialty cocktails and assist with menu development to align with the hotel’s luxury brand
- Stay informed on industry trends and incorporate innovative elements into the bar program
- Consistently maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards
- Deliver polished, seamless service that reflects the luxury and sophistication of the property
- Exhibit impeccable attention to detail in every aspect of service, from drink presentation to guest interaction
- Work closely with servers, barbacks, and management to ensure smooth operations
