Currently, Jacobs Entertainment is hiring for the role of Heavy Duty Porter at the All-New J Resort, an iconic full-service hotel-casino located in Reno, Nevada. The J Resort features over 500 finely appointed guest rooms, an extensive selection of slot machines and table games, and a unique blend of original art, live music, bold culinary flavors, and luxurious amenities that combine to create a one-of-a-kind resort experience. The J Resort is positioned as Reno’s newest premier destination and is undergoing an exciting transformation aimed at reimagining resort hospitality and casino entertainment in the region.

The Heavy Duty Porter plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the resort. This position requires a dedicated individual who can effectively clean carpets, wax floors, and sweep and mop tile and wood surfaces throughout the property. Responsibilities also include dusting office furniture, slot machines, and fixtures; keeping restrooms clean and stocked; and trash removal from various areas including the casino floor and back of house employee sections. Additionally, the Heavy Duty Porter assists with moving furniture and equipment as needed, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the resort. This is a physically demanding role that requires a proactive approach and keen attention to detail to ensure the facility remains inviting for guests and staff members alike.
