Oliver McCrum Wines & Spirits is a dedicated and passionate importer specializing in Italian wines and artisan spirits. The current opportunity is for a Sales Representative to manage and expand the company’s presence specifically in the Long Beach and Orange County territories. This role is ideal for a passionate, self-motivated sales professional who shares the company's commitment to quality Italian wine and spirits and values excellent customer relationships. The position is full-time and requires hands-on engagement with clients and accounts. The compensation ranges from $70,000 to $72,000 per year, with an annual salary review and potential performance-based bonuses at year-end. The benefits package includes health insurance, flexible paid time off (PTO), and a 401K plan.
As a Sales Representative, the individual will be responsible for managing and growing sales across a dynamic territory comprising a mix of on- and off-premise accounts. The representative will be a key player in prospecting and opening 3 to 5 new accounts monthly, organizing and running weekly tastings, staff trainings, and educational events. The company expects the representative to maintain strong product knowledge across wine and spirits categories, embody the professionalism and authenticity of the Oliver McCrum brand, and execute sales goals with dedication and enthusiasm.
This role demands a hands-on approach with a focus on face-to-face interactions, including conducting 15 to 20 in-person sales calls and tastings weekly. It is essential for the candidate to enter all customer communication, tasting notes, and orders into the company CRM daily to ensure smooth operations and accurate record-keeping. Oliver McCrum Wines & Spirits values individuals who are comfortable making portfolio presentations, managing accounts, and building long-term relationships within the hospitality and retail communities.
The ideal candidate either lives in the territory or is willing to relocate, as this is not a remote position. Possessing existing relationships within Orange County’s hospitality and retail sectors is strongly preferred. Candidates should also have a passion for Italian wine and spirits, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as a self-starter. Additional practical requirements include the ability to lift a box of wine and having a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle to travel across the sales territory. An expense stipend is provided to support travel costs.

Job Qualifications

- Lives in the territory or willing relocate for the position

- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable with portfolio presentations and account management
- Ability to lift a box of wine
