We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team. This hourly, non-exempt position reports directly to the executive chef and is integral to the smooth operation of our kitchen. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing menu items and specials to the highest standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation regulations. You will be expected to master our diverse menu, quickly learn new recipes and cooking techniques, and assist in managing food costs through careful inventory practices. This is a dynamic role requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one to two years of experience in a related culinary role or a combination of education and experience
  • ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality
  • knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • physical ability to perform continuous movements throughout the shift
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent communication skills
  • willingness to comply with company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • possess and share a thorough understanding of our menu to ensure all food items are prepared consistently and to high standards
  • quickly comprehend new recipes, cooking techniques, and menu changes while being knowledgeable about all menu items, recipes, and ingredients
  • follow recipes precisely to guarantee consistent food quality and respond accurately to inquiries from guests and team members regarding the menu
  • assist in managing food costs through diligent dating, labeling, and inventory rotation, as well as adhering to prep sheets to minimize waste
  • maintain full knowledge of property layouts, including table setups, room capacity, hours of operation, pricing, and dress codes
  • exhibit comprehensive awareness of all menu items, including prices, cooking methods, key ingredients, taste profiles, presentations, and serving temperatures
  • be organized, maintain focus, and think clearly while handling service for multiple guests
  • ability to perform physical movements continuously throughout the shift
  • strictly comply with sanitation and health regulations, as well as company standards
  • regularly meet with chefs to discuss assignments, upcoming business levels, and other relevant information for job performance
  • inspect and uphold cleanliness and organization of line workstations during your shift
